Tom & Elaine Sampley, both born in Ohio ,and after many years on the leadership team at their home church (Ginghamsburg Church, Tipp City Ohio) God moved in their hearts to serve Him in missions. They are the parents of three grown children, Kris, Mike & Joe. Tom owned his own real estate business for eleven years in Tipp City Ohio. In 1988 they sold their home and business and went to Bible school in New York where Tom eventually became Admissions director and Assistant Dean of the Institute. It was there that they began their journey to the Czech Republic. In 1996 they began raising support and they came to the Czech Republic in 1997 with The Evangelical Alliance Mission (TEAM.) After two years of language study in Prague they prayed together with a small group of Czech believers from their town about where they might be most effective in church planting. Gathering together with some Czech believers and praying together for almost a year; they opened a ministry center called "Common Grounds", a coffee house setting, in their town of ?evnice. Working together with the local denomination of the Cirkev Bratrska church, a strong outreach into the community was established where no prior witness for Christ existed. For the last 5 years, Tom has also served as TEAM Ministry Area leader in the Prague area.
